WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?

Reading a few headlines in the news for the past month or so sure makes one wonder if we live in the same world that our parents did. A few examples:

Couple Ordered to Stop Holding Bible Study at Home Without Permit
Homeowner Association Threatens to Tow Vietnam Veteran's Car Over Marines Decal
Texas Woman Told to Remove 'Offensive' American Flag From Office

What is wrong with this country? Well as this old prospector sees it, the family unit, the educational system, and plain common sense all need to be repaired. Neighbors used to help neighbors, adults used to be able to correct unruly children without fear of a lawsuit, and teachers used to be able to swat a rowdy backside without fear of causing a school district crisis. Oh well, I have lots more to say about this subject. It is like a soap box. Stay tuned unless you are feeling really liberal, then don't bother... you wouldn't understand anyway!

Well, I am pretty happy that teachers can't spank cause I wouldn't be able to sit.
Well Mr. Frank aka "Old Prospector" i still don't know wat that word means???
I just thought i would give my 50 cents and tell you wat i thought about the teachers spanking kids. Well, they can spank the good ones cause then Sarah wouldn't be able to sit.
Sounds like a plan to me :)

Lessons from the Old Prospector

The old prospector plodded into town leading his old faithful mule. After a three month stint in the desert, the old man headed straight for the only saloon in town to clear his parched throat.
He walked up to the front of the saloon and tied his old mule to the hitching rail. As he stood there brushing off some of the dust from his face and clothes, a young gunslinger stepped out of the saloon with a gun in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other.
The young gunslinger looked at the old man through alcohol blurred eyes and laughing loudly, said, "Hey old man, have you ever danced?"
The old prospector looked up at the gunslinger and said, "Nope, I never did dance, -- just never wanted to."
A crowd from the saloon had gathered quickly and the gunslinger grinned and said, "Well, you old fool, you're gonna' dance now!", and started shooting at the old man's feet. The old prospector, in order to not get a toe blown off or his boots perforated, was soon hopping around like a flea on a hot skillet and everybody was laughing fit to be tied.
When the last bullet had been fired, the young gunslinger, still laughing, holstered his gun and turned around to go back into the saloon. The old man reached over to his pack mule, pulled out a double barreled shotgun, and cocked both hammers back. The loud, audible double clicks carried clearly through the desert air. The crowd stopped laughing immediately. Even through the booze, the young gunslinger heard the sounds, too, and he turned around very slowly.
The quiet was almost deafening. The still crowd watched as the young gunman stared back at the old timer and the large gaping holes of those twin barrels. He found it hard to swallow. The barrels of the shotgun never wavered In the old man's hands.
The old man said, "Son, did you ever kiss a mule's rear end?"
The young bully swallowed hard and said, "No, but I've always wanted to."
So, there are two lessons to be learned from this story:
First: Don’t waste your ammunition; Second: Don't mess with old prospectors.
